Events - Annual General Meeting & Parent Information Night - Wednesday November 13th

We are having our Annual General Meeting & Parent Information night on Wednesday 13th November, to be held at the Greensborough Preschool from 7:30pm

Your childs 2020 Information Pack will be available for collection, and will contain all the information regarding important dates for transition in Term 1 next year.

The night also serves as our associations Annual General Meeting, and provides a chance to nominate and select the 2020 Committee members that will help continue to make Greensborough Preschool the community icon it is today.


Greensborough Preschool Inc. has been providing the Greensborough community with high quality and innovative kindergarten programs for over 50 years.

Adjoining the Banyule Maternal and Child Health Centre in Ester St, Greensborough, our exceptionally well resourced centre offers both 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten Programs, in an expansive indoor and outdoor space.

Children who participate in quality early education program enjoy a flying start to learning and life. Greensborough Preschool's experienced educators develop and implement intellectually stimulating and engaging learning programs.

Our programs offer a safe and caring environment in which children can build confidence in their abilities, extend their skills and have fun while learning. By participating in a kindergarten program, children discover new learning experiences and establish relationships that create a strong foundation for their future education.

3 Year Old

Offering 6 hours per week (non-subsidised), our 3YO program is the perfect way to start off your little one's fun filled learning adventure!

4 Year Old

Offering 15 hours per week (govt. subsidised), our 4YO program is all about adventure, interaction and socialisation; providing the best possible start heading into Primary School!


3YO Program enrolments are handled direct by our management partners ECMS

4YO Program enrolments are handled centrally by Banyule City Council

Kinder Activities

Children learn through play. In our kindergarten programs, your child will participate in play-based learning experiences designed to encourage their physical, social, intellectual, language and emotional abilities. Under the guidance and care of a qualified Early Childhood Teacher your child will:

Use their creativity to express ideas & feelings through art, dance and dramatic play Make friends and learn how to cooperate with other children
Become more independent and confident in their abilities Use language to communicate ideas, feelings and needs
Identify, explore and solve problems Develop self-discipline

Most importantly, our kindergarten program will help your child develop a love of learning and be better prepared to start school.

Provide your (and/or your family members) email addresses to receive Newsletters, Weekly Observations from Staff, and Committee communications. You can also sign-up at Kinder - just ask one of the staff members.

Our management partners, ECMS , provide the day-to-day operational support for our educators at Greensborough Preschool, and work in concert with Staff and the Volunteer Parent Committee to ensure Greensborough Preschool has access to all the best resources.

For over 25 years, Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) has been working with parents and early learning providers, and provide a range of useful resources for parents about Kindergarten and the transition to School.

Greensborough Preschool are proud to be rated as Exceeding National Quality Standard by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). More information on the National Quality Framework is available from their website.

Our policies cover all aspects of operation, quality, health, safety and wellbeing in our early learning and care centres. Check back regularly for any updates.

A healthy lunchbox containing plenty of fresh fruit, veggies and protein will give your child the energy they need to stay active at kindergarten. Please note: many of our kindergartens exclude certain foods to provide a safe environment for all children to enjoy. Please speak to your child's educators for details.

We pride ourselves in having an active Parent led committee who organise social activities, and undertake fundraising & sourcing of grants in order to provide additional resources for use in the Kinder programs. Please reach out to our committee President to find out how to get involved.
